What to Expect

Here at Connection Point Church we are all about connecting people to people and people to Jesus. Because of that, if you choose to visit our church, we want you to feel comfortable, and some of that means knowing what to expect. Here are ten questions that should give you a good idea of what happens around here.

Where should I park?

Our parking lot wraps around our building and we have two entrances. If you have kids, we suggest parking near the family entrance which is facing the road. If you don't have kids, or need a handicap accessible entrance, we suggest you park behind the building by our main entrance.

What should I wear?

At Connection Point we don't have a dress code. We just hope that you come in what you're comfortable in. You'll see our regular attenders in anything from shorts to jeans to dress pants. Wear what you feel comfortable in!

What happens when I arrive?

When you walk in the doors you will be welcomed by one of our friendly greeters who will hand you our bulletin for the week. You can ask the greeter any of your questions and they will be able to direct you to where you need to go. You are welcomed and encouraged to come to our café area where you can grab a donut, cup of coffee, or a few snacks. Feel free to sit near the café until service starts, or find a seat in the sanctuary.

How will I know where to go?

Our foyer is pretty straightforward and wide open, with signs by the café, welcome center, and bathrooms. If you need directions anywhere else there are signs above most doorways, or you can ask one of our hospitality team members.

What about my kids?

As you walk into the family entrance with your kids, you will be prompted to go through the check in process. You have the option of letting your kids go to their age appropriate classrooms with messages geared towards their age group, or your kids can stay with you in the service. What about my teens?

Teenagers are highly encouraged to sit with their families during Sunday morning service. Our teens meet on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30PM. If your students are interested in joining us you can find a calendar on the Parent Resource Wall in the foyer or have someone direct you to our Youth Pastor Matthew! What will the service be like?

We have two service times, 9:00AM and 10:30AM. Our services feature contemporary style worship music and will last about an hour. During services we will sing some songs together, hear about upcoming events, and hear a message that is applicable to our everyday lives from the Scripture. If you are planning to join us soon, let us know here

Will I be singled out as a guest?

As a guest, our goal is to welcome you and show you that this is a community that operates through love. You may find that some of our members would love to meet you and welcome you here. Knowing that some guests don't want to be singled out, asked questions, or pursued, we don't ask anything of our guests. The only thing you will be encouraged to do is fill out the welcome card that is attached to the bulletin that you got when you walked in the door, and of course, that is only if you want to. If you do, you can bring it to the Welcome Center after the service where we will have a gift waiting for you, or just drop it in the offering plate as it is passed around.

Am I expected to participate in offering?

No. Guests are never expected to give an offering, but if you want to give to the ministries of the church, feel free to do so.
